Three generations of Schmitts biking up north on the upper side of the lower penninsula. We biked the Little Traverse Wheelway, a beautiful paved trail that starts at Harbour Springs goes though Petosky and ends in Charlevoix. One of the most scenic biking routes in Michigan, and might be my favorite. Your constantly next to the lake and there's points where your right up next to the water looking down at it. Harbour springs is a gorgeous small town and so is Charlevoix. Its an amazing route. Then we biked up and down the Old Mission Penninsula that cuts the grand traverse bay in half. Both rides are highly recommended by me, it was a great ride.
